Alsha's Adventures in Uleguerand Range :\

So, I decided I wanted to go nuke things on my Black Mage before Dynamis.

I'm currently LV66 BLM @6k tnl.

Remember this detail.

I went to my usual Aydeewa Subteranne camp to go nuke Qiqirn Enterprisers (RNG) but there was a 65BLM there already. Now, I hate camping on top of people and there isnt really room for 2 in there, as we would have to wait for repops. So I bowed and warped back to Aht Urghan.

Where to go, where to go.

The BLM Solo guide talked briefly about a camp spot in Uleguerand Range. So I thought, I have an hour til dynamis, I may as well check it out.

So I trek up there, with Angelise kindly giving me a teleport to Vahzl. I dont have a map, so I found one online and then snuck up, reraised and invisibled myself for the walk. The first part wasnt so bad, managed to avoid aggro'ing the snow bombs when I had to recast, and got through the first tunnel without a problem.

I kept on trudging north through the snow and came across this Brontosaur. I've never seen these before and took a quick picture.

I thought hey I might not be up here for a while, lets get closer for another picture.

Suffice to say, I did not end up with a Screenshot, due to my panicked attempts to run away after discovering its a true sight mob.

I ran to the side of the cliff face and died with dignity, waited for it to walk away, then reraised to continue my journey.

I'm amazed at how much scary stuff is up here! I finally found one of the mobs that I intended to target for my BLM Solo'ing extravaganza, but there was only one that I could see, so thinking that maybe the actual camp was a bit further up, i continued on.

It would seem that I travelled a bit too far north, in the excitement of my adventure. I somehow managed to aggro another Brontosaur, so ran toward some pillars devoid of mobs to die in the snow. Once the taurus moved on, I reraised only to find out, in my dismay, that there was an Ice Elemental hiding around the corner.

So... I died again, just after I put reraise back up. No drama! I have reraise!

So I reraised, and....

/em is defeated by the Evil Eye.

What a joke.

So I realised I had gone too far north anyway, so I home pointed and grabbed a teleport to try again.

This time I stopped where I found the first Giant Buffalo and wandered around the area to find three more.

I was finally at the camp! Now to kirr things!

Yes, that's me, weakened again.

They are difficult.

Difficult to pull as there are a lot of true sight mobs, and also the Raptors aggro to sound.

I tried one and died because I had a macro wardrobe malfunction and my Sleep II was resisted due to not having my dark gear set on.

One more try, and my Flood did 1056 points of damage, which was under 25% of the mobs HP.

I tried to warp out but I got raped face down in the snow and had to HP again.

Now I'm @17k tnl.

Moral of this story?

Stay at home, where it's warm, dry and safe.

There are also cookies at home.
