New Directions

This has been a bit late in coming, but I thought I had better wrap this blog up as I won't be writing any more posts in it. Many of you know I decided to transfer servers to have a bit of a new direction, a change of pace and scenery. I was getting bored with what I was doing on Ifrit end game wise, and decided to join a HNMLS on Cerberus to see what that was like.

Of Rocs and Dragons

Interesting things we have done in the last few days:

We kirred the Roc NM.

It was a bit funny, we were going to the [S] area from Garliage Citadel and I ran outside and saw the NM. I also saw a dead Red mage, but didn't think too much of it. Sonnia, Crinan, Darkmenion and myself killed it in about 5minutes, and then this other LS rocked up, they said they had wiped to it due to no healers. (who was that RDM in their LS then? >.>)

Anyway, no dorp. :\

That was last nite. Tonight we did KSNM30 Double Dragonian, it was interesting. We won 5/6 orbs, I still dont understand what happened but shit happens. We still cleared 900k and 5 destroyers :\

We gave the last pair we got to a random person standing in the hot springs. Congratulations Roma! Due to the fact we all had them already. Go go warm fuzzy good samaratin feelings!

Congratulations to Hitorisan, Darkmenion, Crinan and Vanyaledin for their shiny new DESTROYERRRRSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woot.

We also received 2 orichalcum ingots and 1 damascus ingot just to note the er, noteworthy items.. Time to sell some shinies on the Auction house.

Moving on to later this evening, we decided Sonnia really needed a Dryad Staff, so we went back to Sauromugue Champaign to wait for Roc to get out of bed.

He was a bit late today, he popped exactly 2 hours into the window.

So with Roc tonight. About half an hour before the window opened this other LS pops up again (how convenient) and took claim from under our noses. It must have been the BLM that claimed him (they had a BLM and THF out side) because he ran around in circles and tried to kite it (albeit unsucessfully) and then died. They lost hate and we snagged it from them and killed it. I sort of feel a bit bad about it, but when you think about it, they would have not hesistated to do the same if roles were reversed. They nicked Serket from a few of the TRS guys a few days ago so mabye we're even?

Anyway... things I have been up to :

Finished my Marduk pants~ (and boots and body but I think I may have mentioned this before)

Rawrr.. I think the pants look a bit silly, but they are growing on me slowly. They give me more MP as white mage, I could still macro in the AF2 pants for cures to make them more potent, but I have a lot of healing magic gear already and well... Im lazy.

Only need my tiara and my gloves now, I'm 2/3 on both. Needing to visit some frogs in Zhayolm Remnants for my tiara, and then the Chariot NM in Arrapago Remnants. He's really stubborn, every single run I go to, it doesnt drop, and the 2 times I was too tired to go.... Both dropped my gloves. /wrists.

One day... One day....

I've also gotten back to Paladin lately, now Lv 42^^

I think i look like an alien ._.

But it's fun, shame I suck at it though. My perma (Ingram and Farris mostly) always play very late at night for me, so {I'm sleepy} alot of the time. Its tricky because I'm pretty sure that they have enmity merited (and Ingram plays Dark Knight! o.O) so it's interesting to try and "tank" for the party. (read: stab the mob with my sword occasionally when I'm not missing more than the DRK) I changed to sushi recently, I noticed a big difference. I cant wait until lvl 52.... ICE GAUNTLETS!!!

Well I'm excited about them... Shhhh...

I'm also levelling up my lolBard. I'm lvl 60 now^^b

I have newer gear than this, its an older photo.

I think at the moment I am wearing my AF pants, and cobra pigaches. Because I traded Enlil's pants for Marduk Shalwar. And I got off my bum and bought decent shoes lol.

Well thats most of the interesting stuff that I have been doing lately here. There are other things, but really can't be bothered going into that right now.

Okay, I'm sorry I have been away so long, that thing called "Life" took over for a while.

It's okay, I'm back !

Ive recently moved house and dont have any internet or any phone at the moment, I feel like I'm in amish country.

Anyways, my new ultrafast cable speed instanet is getting installed on 6th of feb, so in the mean time I am trying to leech wireless internet from my neighbours, I managed to get on for a few hours tonight so catching up on all the news.

Hoping to spend more time on my blog this year (think: New years resolution, none of that getting healthy and saving money crap, its all about the blog).

So this is it for the moment, going to try get something interesting to post this week and see how i go wrestling for the internet connection. I wonder if the neighbour will ever find out im stealing his wireless..

We did a LS skill up party this week too, it was actually fun. I really dislike skilling up its so boring, but with the LS guys it wasn't too bad hehe. I got my club skill up to 199.something and I must have been really tired because I fell asleep :3 Oops. Sorry guys and thanks for the teleport lol. I dont like the Boyhada tree....

Basically at this stage it will just replace my Black Cloak for when I want Refresh. But still pretty ^^ This pic is my 3/5 Sorcerer's Attire set, just need the boots and gloves. Both of them I can live without, but the gloves will be nice to macro in for Dark based things. Reminds me to get my original artifact set out of storage I'm too lazy to grab it each time and put it away because I dont have room. I'd be much more effective if I used it to macro in certain things.

Buvian, Crinan and I did a manaburn party today it was so much fun. And quite fast too. We started trio'ing and then we had a gate crasher trying to solo so we just invited him to join, would have been better xp for everyone than if he was trying to compete with us. And less fun. Then a duo showed up and we just invited them too, they were japanese and quite cool to pt with.

If you cant beat them, join them. That should be a blm motto :3

Also, speaking of new shinies, I recently got the drop for my Enlil's Gambison, completing my 3/3 equip items for Marduk's Jubbah body armor. I'm very excited. I have been hoarding Khroma Ores and I'm about half way there I think.

Hopefully we get some good sky drops today and I can get a bit more cashflow happening. I'm really excited about getting this body piece It's been something I have lusted after for a while now, and its within reach. I'm going to get Ingram to make me some of the ingots soon, so I can stack them and make room in my storage.

I'm next in line any time that I want it in my sky LS but I keep passing as I physically cannot equip it yet lol. I dont see the point of it going mouldy in my mog house when someone else can use it.

I'm 8k xp into my level I'm going to try cap it out before I start taking it to events, or else I'll delevel and that's not fun for any one.

I put a merit into Burst II and Freeze II :D :D :D

And 2 into elemental magic.

So anyway, on another interesting note, I roped a few of our sky newies into coming to farm sky gods with me. Gamex and Evalen have just gotten access, and on their first run they both went home with something.

There was a new event around for that Halloween thing.. We dont do that here in Australia. We know of it, but we dont like go trick or treating or anything. It's just weird... Asking random strangers for lollies and things. I mean, if i had kids, I wouldnt let them wander the streets at night going up to strangers houses... Do you read the news? Lots of terrible things happen to kids out alone. Halloween also makes you fat. So there. :P

Ice Adventures Part II and other tidbits

So I went back to Uleguerand Range.

I'll just stop here maybe and let you see for yourself.

Ok so basically what happened was, is that we were going to get the ENM key item in Uleguerand Range. For the Bearclaw Pinnacle ENM.

I have never done this before so had no idea where to go, and had no map, so I was just following Ingram blindly pretty much. We got to the spot where we had to slide down the mountain (first three screenshots) and I had no idea what to do, but there was a ledge we were meant to drop onto at the bottom. You can see this in the next couple shots. Unless I wanted to try and go back around and do that again (no thanks) so I let myself die (see tiger) and get tractored up there.

Now that I was in the right place, time to get the key item.

Oh, wait... No. Sorry Alsha! You didn't talk to the NPC at the start. At the start of what? At the entrance to the zone. Oh, I see. That information would have been useful at the start.

It's ok, I got quite good directions from Ingram as to how to go back to the start, so I got my cotton pouch item from the NPC, and then backtracked to the ledge. Where I got to kill myself again to get tractored lol.

Oh how I love this place, let me count the ways.

This time I got the key item, the bag of ice shards needed to enter the ENM.

Now I get to come back here sometime soon to actually do the ENM... *runs away*

Oh, we camped Roc again! Got Nyoko's Dryad Staff the other night, but last night was no drop. We camped again today and got a Damascus Ingot for the six of us to split. Today's group was Crinan, Nyoko, Takeno, Ataka, Shaunmc and myself. We scored 84k each from that. It's niice! I love Borat lol. It's just so wrong...

Oh and we fought my NM again, we got a drop this time, but not mine ._.

I have bad luck, me thinks.

Oh, and Im really annoyed right now... I found out that two certain individuals somehow wormed their way into my end game LS. I detest one of these people in particular, and the other is her boyfriend, who called me a c*** one day so they are both in the same box. She hurt a friend of mine in a very bad way and even before that she hated me and I never knew why. I was always nice to her in the old LS we were both in. But she said nasty things about me to people I knew, so with that on top of the way she treated my friend, pretty much means I will never look upon her favourably again.

And now they are in my end game LS. I have talked to Ingram and he said he will ask him to leave as he thinks I'm more important (lol) but I know he wont, as he is too nice to people he doesnt even know.

We shall see what happens. At the worst I will just stop going to events if they decide to go, as I have better things to do than stew about how much i dislike them. This game is supposed to be fun, after all. Psh.

Oh and if it drops, you all better buy stuff from my bazaar, as I'll be selling everything I own.
That's right. I have to sell almost everything I own to afford even half the mats needed for that upgrade. 800k per ingot (that's synthing it, as there aren't many for sale).

And I need 12 of those.

My calculator told me that means I have to come up with 9.6million gil.

Then i broke it, so I'm not sure any more.

I'm pretty sure I started writing a draft of this post, but I guess I didn't save it :3

Whoops.

Anyway, here are some of us in the ruins before Salvage, standing around looking fat.

Soooo we went to Zhaylom Remnants. Ingram said he worked out how to pop the NM that drops my Enlil's Gambison, so we tried that for the first time. The zone is strange, like in each room on the first level, only 2 of the 4 mobs drop anything, so if you kill 2 mobs and they both drop cells, then you just move on to the next one.

To pop the NM on the 5th floor I think we needed to clear pathos from 3 players (thats unlock all equip for 3 ppl). It took a while to do this, we got to the fourth floor and had to kill the correct rampant to go up to the 5th floor and we had 5mins left on the clock, we kill it and....

Repop on the 4th floor. We killed the wrong one. Good job guys!

Killed the correct one and moved up, 3min left on the clock, find the NM, start punching her and we have 1min left shes down to 60%HP.......

Charmga.

/sigh.

Shes a bit of a bitch.

We needless to say, ran out of time. Fingers crossed for next time that we do it right and have time to kill her.

On another note, I completed PM4-3 ! Thats the nasty LV50 cap Sacrarium one. We had a few dramas with it, unable to find 2 more ppl to come help, being one of the main issues.

We farmed the 2 coral keys with no problem and then Rikoro and Faulsey were tired so we scheduled a meet up time about 9hrs later. We all came back, and there was four of us that needed it, Me as WHM, Sonnia as PLD, Rikoro as RDM and Faulsey as RNG.

For the life of us we couldnt find anyone to help, I shouted for an hour in Whitegate and no one on the LS could help. Finally we dragged Tyger and Annes over to help us when they logged in later, and then Sonnia disconnected and couldnt log onto the game so we had Angelise come help us instead. We all cleared our hate, and went down to do it finally. Andromida came to help too but had max fame so we had to leave him at home. So we entered the Sacrarium, with Tyger coming as BLU and Annes as NIN, and Ange as THF. We only got aggro about four times :3 Damn true sight Tauros'...

We made it to the classrooms, and the ??? was in the first one we looked in. Unfortunately I didnt' realise that touching it popped the NM. (yes, i should have known better) and we weren't quite ready, so we wiped outside the room and got up to try again. Also, Annes accidently WS'd a fomor when the NM teleported.

But..This time we had a strategy, Riko was kiting the pupil's so Annes could tank the Professor.

Here's another smelly update for you!

Like the title says, my computer has been playing games with me this week, being slow and gheyish, when it really wasn't it's fault. I realised I didnt have anti spyware installed on my laptop so I downloaded adaware and ran a scan.

176 unidentified objects! No wonder the poor thing has been struggling.

Now that things are working properly again I thought I'd do a catch up.

I fought Ouyru! And we won! 1/1!
Urora and Lambit from my dynamis shell asked me to tag along as blm (which was fine with me as I needed this too)

Below is a shot of us in action (yes that's me actually doing something, as opposed to standing around looking bored in my screenshots). We did the sleep nuke strategy, we had:

Alshandra: BLM

Rengin: BLM

and Sekkhmet as BLU

I think. It was a little while ago.

We got Lambit to take hate, and Cesarl was the mistmelter (you know, that thing you throw at the dragon to make it sit down?). Us BLM's did simultaneous Freeze and then Urora slept it after the mistmelt brough it back to the ground. We did this maybe 3-4 times and Ouryu gives up after about 30% HP left so we won! whee.

Another fun thing we did was doing Carbuncle's Mitts runs. I took Tyger and Sonnia one night to do theirs, and the next night I took Rikoro, Kaske, Crinan and Divinefury to get theirs. On both runs Sonnia and Kaske didnt have the pop item so we had to go hunting for it. Death ensues. The first run was ok, it wasnt up so we did Tyger's fight and got his mitts then by the time we went back it was up so we went back to do Sonnia's fight and got her mitts too. The next night Kaske's was up, but Crinan and I found it while they were back near the entrance so we had to sacrifice ourselves to get the pop item for him. Tonberry's dont like us very much. I died, so he pulled all the tonberry's down the corridor so I could RR and grab the item -- which i did! But then there was a final tonberry in the room with the Ugaleppih offering so I died after I got it. But I got it!! We home pointed and came back and everything went smoothly from there on.

Another thing we did was ZM5 Headstone Pilgramage! Heres a pic of us doing the first fire one in Ifrit's Cauldron. I managed to get myself stuck on the wrong side of the fire spout, but it was ok, Tyger had ice clusters :3

And this is me zoom zooming past the Ash dragon. I sort of wanted to fight it, but we were focussing on the mission at hand!

This is at the Sanctuary of Zitah, fighting the Doomed Pilgrim - another one of me standing around looking bored. (just so happens the only time I have time to take pictures is when I dont have anything to do. Let's face it, I'm just not that good a photographer - see Faulsey's blog!)

I think that overall, Aussie, Faulsey, Ataka needed all of the headstones while Tyger just needed the fire one. Fun times!

This is me falling asleep on the last headstone we did, it was early in the morning by that point. I would have just left my char here and gone to bed but there are bats that aggro people sitting down.

On a completely unrelated note, I was lvling THF in the dooms the other day with Crinan's SMN and Beanrod's WHM. Nevertheless, Galka's can be squishy too, especially after Benediction :\

We trio'd Aquarius! WHM RDM MNK Go go hundredfists! We were on our way to do windurst mission 9-1 farming the Goobue hummus and doing the cutscene (lets not talk about how i forgot I had the item in my Storage and was dismayed when it dropped when i lotted it) I had to go back to do that myself later.

Now I have a shiny new axe that I will probably never use. Ranged Attack? What is this concept?

Hmm that's it for now, I have another new post about Salvage to make in a bit, but I'll do that one seperate.

Alsha's Adventures in Uleguerand Range :\

So, I decided I wanted to go nuke things on my Black Mage before Dynamis.

I'm currently LV66 BLM @6k tnl.

Remember this detail.

I went to my usual Aydeewa Subteranne camp to go nuke Qiqirn Enterprisers (RNG) but there was a 65BLM there already. Now, I hate camping on top of people and there isnt really room for 2 in there, as we would have to wait for repops. So I bowed and warped back to Aht Urghan.

Where to go, where to go.

The BLM Solo guide talked briefly about a camp spot in Uleguerand Range. So I thought, I have an hour til dynamis, I may as well check it out.

So I trek up there, with Angelise kindly giving me a teleport to Vahzl. I dont have a map, so I found one online and then snuck up, reraised and invisibled myself for the walk. The first part wasnt so bad, managed to avoid aggro'ing the snow bombs when I had to recast, and got through the first tunnel without a problem.

I kept on trudging north through the snow and came across this Brontosaur. I've never seen these before and took a quick picture.

I thought hey I might not be up here for a while, lets get closer for another picture.

Suffice to say, I did not end up with a Screenshot, due to my panicked attempts to run away after discovering its a true sight mob.

I ran to the side of the cliff face and died with dignity, waited for it to walk away, then reraised to continue my journey.

I'm amazed at how much scary stuff is up here! I finally found one of the mobs that I intended to target for my BLM Solo'ing extravaganza, but there was only one that I could see, so thinking that maybe the actual camp was a bit further up, i continued on.

It would seem that I travelled a bit too far north, in the excitement of my adventure. I somehow managed to aggro another Brontosaur, so ran toward some pillars devoid of mobs to die in the snow. Once the taurus moved on, I reraised only to find out, in my dismay, that there was an Ice Elemental hiding around the corner.

{Incredibly tough} {No thanks.}

So... I died again, just after I put reraise back up. No drama! I have reraise!

So I reraised, and....

/em is defeated by the Evil Eye.

What a joke.

So I realised I had gone too far north anyway, so I home pointed and grabbed a teleport to try again.

This time I stopped where I found the first Giant Buffalo and wandered around the area to find three more.

I was finally at the camp! Now to kirr things!

Yes, that's me, weakened again.

They are difficult.

Difficult to pull as there are a lot of true sight mobs, and also the Raptors aggro to sound.

I tried one and died because I had a macro wardrobe malfunction and my Sleep II was resisted due to not having my dark gear set on.

One more try, and my Flood did 1056 points of damage, which was under 25% of the mobs HP.

I tried to warp out but I got raped face down in the snow and had to HP again.

Now I'm @17k tnl.

Moral of this story?

Stay at home, where it's warm, dry and safe.

There are also cookies at home.

We ritualistically wipe at the end of each run. I'm not sure why, but it may be that when we run out of time, the puller thinks that its wise to pull the whole zone on the off chance that we manage to kill any of them before the time is up.

Every single person wiped, even me. I was the first to reraise and I couldnt get the picture off in time before a few others did, it would have been a nice shot if i had taken it when i was the only one standing :3

I've finally completed my full white mage artifact gear!

Take that shadow lord! (that's right, I've demoted him to lower case, he's {Too weak} to be allowed to have capital letters)

Such a nice feeling to have completed my AF2, not so nice feeling when my fellow white mage and friend Aussie was a bit sad because I outlotted him. (I have been with the shell since day one, so it's not like I was a newbie out lotting him, but I still felt awful)

But!!!

IT DROPPED AGAIN!!!

After waiting a whole year to get mine (it dropped once only, when I was working one day) we miraculously get two within 15min of eachother.

Ok So.
I'm so bored I think I'm going to die. It's taken an hour and a half for my Salvage group to get ready. Maybe I'm just noticing it because I was ready half an hour early today, spent all my tags and had my hot little Remnants Permit in my hand.

So I'm updating my blog.

As most of you know it was my birthday on the weekend. Whee? :3

I'm 21 now, time to do all that stuff you get to do at 21... Except in Australia you can do it all at 18 so I'm not really sure of the significance of this birthday.

But I got some nice gifts so it's not all bad.

I took a whole bunch of photos on the weekend in celebration of my birthday so I thought I would share some of the interesting ones with you. (when you read "interesting", think: "not out of focus or having a thumb in the way")

This one is of me, early early early in the morning after I got ready and then had to spend the morning getting my apartment ready for an open viewing (its being sold).
Not happy Jan. I had to get up early! And leave the house! zomgwtf..

Oh this is a picture of where we stayed on Saturday night, at the Hyatt.. I walked into our suite and it was so lovely.... I felt like a queen!

The bathroom was amazing.... In the morning while I was nursing my headache I had an egyptian milk bath.... Mmm.....

This is the view out the window, overlooking the Torrens River in Adelaide. I do believe that's Adelaide Oval there as well... You know... where they play sports and things...

We had our rooms on the 15th floor, and this is a pic of the floor below, which was this gorgeous garden thing... So pretty. I was going to sneak out later and visit it, but I was uhh how should I say... Incapacitated? :3

My girlfriends and I downstairs in the lobby at the Hyatt before we went out for dinner. I had been harassing the poor concierge for a lot of things that evening and I thought he wouldn't mind taking a photo for me.

We went to this reallllllllllllllly nice (and really expensive) restaurant in the city called Shiki. It's a Japanese teppanyaki style restaurant. Thats where you sit around this big table and the chef prepares the food in front of you, its a bit of a fun thing they do tricky stuff with the knives and flipping things etc. A lot of fun. The food was amazing, my friends weren't too hot on the sashimi though (i think thats how you spell it). Teh raw fishes ftl? I liked it >.>

Amazing food though.

And wine.

Lots and lots of wine.

We had dessert too, it was so pretty I had to take a pic. Fruit sorbet mmm tasty.

All four of us at the Atrium after dinner, with another random person tackled into taking photos for me.

After dinner cocktails. We saw the likes of drinks such as Pina Colada's, Mango Split's and some strange green concoction with Absynthe in it...

And omg buffet breakfast <3

I had about 6 glasses of orange juice in the morning, with a ham and cheese toasted croissant and a pancacke with maple syrup and cream mmm....

I nursed a very unpleasant hang over the next day, I think I just curled up in bed mostly.

An awesome weekend though, I had the best time and spent it with my gorgeous friends whom I love with all my heart.

And I'm still sitting around in Salvage with nothing to do.

/sigh.

Well time to go start knitting that sweater.... :3

I've been working a lot lately , not had much time to do anything thats worth writing about, except levelling my lmaoninjarr!!!11 to 32 as of last night :D

When I get to 37 im putting it down for a while, I have spent wayyyyy too much monies on it. Like, wayyyyy too much. In one night, I had to restock a few ninja tools, I spent like 100k. *dies*

But yeah, my apartment is up for sale, so I have the agent coming over on Saturday to bring in a few clients that are interested in having a look, so I want to be out by 12.30 then going to have coffee in town with my friends and go shopping, then going out for dinner that night to this really nice Japanese restaurant in town, then out dancing and such in town. Then we have reservations at the Hyatt.. mmm... I get to spend some of my real money for a change! How fun.

Anyway, don't expect much from me until next week, unless I find out I have to move, then Ill be packing a lot... But I'll try to do something interesting and post some pics soon.

Oh and not that it's too exciting, but I'm doing an Avatar run tonight, so about hmmm 10hours from now, if you're on you should come!

I'm in salvage at the moment, and i'm getting so tired of it. we had such a good run tonight, no one died (mostly because i fell asleep before and had a nice nap so im awake now) but NO DROPS!!! We even had a thief. I dont know whats wrong with it. /sigh /sigh

Okay, heres a run down of what I have so far for my Marduk set:

But basically, I have to collect three pieces of gear for each of the Marduk gear items. Theres a LV15, 25, 35 piece to collect to get the NPC to give you the Marduk gear item.

Right now, I'm in Arrapago Remnants again farming for gear. No drops the first time, but I am hoping that the Archaic Chariot will actually drop something, and that it may be the 35 Enlil's Kolluks. (hands)

Then I will be 2/3 on Head, Hands, Feet and Body.

The last pieces for those gear items are found in Zhayolm Remnants, which we have not started doing yet. It's the hardest Salvage area, I hear. My Ea's Crackows, Enlil's Tiara, Enlil's Gambison and Anu's Brais are found there.

I still need the:

Enlil's Kolluks from Arrapago Remnants, and

Enlil's Brayettes from Bhalfau Remnants, and

Anu's Gages, and Ea's Brais from Silver Sea Remnants, and

then the aforementioned Zhayolm Remnants gear.

One day!!! Then I'll look like this:

Its just so hot.

We aren't talking about how much its going to cost to get the synthesis materials to make the gear...

Okay, we'll talk about it lol.

I priced it up, its about 1.2mil for the head, 600k for the hands, 70k for the feet, 20k for the legs, and 6.5mil to 8mil for the body, depending on if i can get someone to craft the mats for me or if i just buy them outright.

I need to start farming I think...

I have absolutely nothing to do. Oh, wait, no, thats not true. I have a report to write. It will take me a whole ten minutes to write, so really, I have nothing to do.

6:54pm and counting, my shift here finishes at 8pm.

For those of you that haven't had the decadent pleasure of meeting me, and don't know anything about me or what I do, I'm 20 years old, female, and work for a credit union in the loans area. Thats female, 20yrs old, single, and working, on a friday night. Woe is me.

I work in our call centre (awesome :\) and it's not as bad as you would imagine. I get to sit at the computer all day, (not surfing the internet, according to management) and answer the phone all day. Oh and we have a vending machine where I can buy as much Turkish Delight chocolate as I please. Now who wouldn't love my job?

It's not a bad job, it gets really busy and its a bit high stress (you know, dealing with everyone's money, and getting to decide if they are allowed to have any more or not) as there's so much work to do and we only have about 11 people in my team at the moment. The call volumes aren't too bad, but I take about 50-60 calls a day which is up to about 10 calls an hour. Now, that doesn't sound like much, but it takes 20 minutes or so to do a loan application for someone, so if I do two applications in an hour, that leaves about 20minutes to take the other eight calls. Fun times.

Mostly we have stupid people call up. You know, the ones that won't go into the branch because they think the staff will be able to see by the look in their eyes that they are trying to pull a dodgy on us? Yeah, those people.

It's amusing. It used to stress me out, but it doesn't faze me any more. You just be nice to them, smile and say thank you and hang up and laugh. I mean, some people have NFI (no fkn idea for those not down with the TLA's (three letter acronyms)) when it comes to money and loans.

Take this guy for example:

Has been working at his new job for exactly one week. I mean, he even has a payslip, thats a good thing right??

Previous to this new FULL TIME job he was unemployed for 6months. 6 months! That's not long at all.

Previous to being an unemployed bum, he was the director of his own company for 2 years. Well that's nice, but we want to know what you're doing Today. Not two and a half years ago.

Turns out his business went under due to financial difficulties. Did I put emphasis on financial difficulties? Yes, yes I think I did.

He currently has a chequing account with us, a credit card, and a Personal Loan. These were taken out before his business went under. That's nice. You're a Member with our credit union. That's sure to give you brownie points.

Oh, wait.... That's right, his chequing account is overdrawn by $23.90. And his credit card is $53.45 over its limit. And his personal loan payment is 4 days late. I'm sorry, was that brownie points you wanted?

Oh, but they are the only debts he has currently. Everything else has been paid off.

Looking at his account, I notice a direct debit for a collections agency, a Bpay to a credit card, a Bpay to a rental equipment store, a Bpay to a well known finance company, and another miscellanous regular payment. He has no other debts, remember? This must be my mistake, surely I'm looking at someone else's account. No, I'm afraid I'm not mistaken. He really told me he has no other liabilities owing. And its not like his account was with another bank where he could try to hide it from us.

And I ran a credit check for him, (you know, where we pry into your last five years worth of credit enquiries and applications) and he has no less than three defaulted payments. THREE. Yes thats three defaulted payments. A default is an unpaid account that passes three months unpaid, and the financial insti Sometimes people have one from the phone company, because they have moved and not given a forwarding address for their last bill. It usually catches up to them and they pay it. No dramas. This was one for a rental account which had been paid, late, for $355. One was for a credit card of $1200 that was on a continued contract, still being paid by this man, and the last one was a $10,000 loan that had not been paid off at all.

Oh and when I asked him at the start "Do you have any negative history that you feel we should know about?" Guess what his answer was. You dont have to guess, we already know that his answer was "No, of course not."

To top it off, not only were his accounts currently in arrears, they had been overdrawn, overlimit, and late consistently for the last 12months.

And he wanted to apply for an increase on his credit card. Of $6000.

No. Just no.

Don't call here again. Pay your gddamn account and close it.

Well, on a brighter note, I was in a good mood today, and its Friday!!! Yeah baby.
But now you know what I do at work all day (besides reading blogs). Exciting, isn't it? Aren't you glad you asked? Now all your wonderings have been put to rest. *rolls eyes*

That's enough real life information for today.

Tonight on FFXI I plan to try level ninjar with my friend Andromida, she has a lvl 25 ninja and will be up in an hour or two I think. Oh, and Crinan is ninja LV27 also. Maybe we'll try a utsusemiburn party :\ that would rock pretty hard. No, we dont need a white mage pffft.. We have ninjapower! Mwah. Please disregard all posts where I referred to ninja as a waste of time. Its actully fun. If youre not a moron. I think my anitpathy to ninjas sprouted from my many bad experiences with ninja tanks while levelling white mage. *whm dies. again* *and again* *and again. wftninja??*

I think I'm doing ok though, I havent died in a while. And Eldoras let me borrow his shiny "blue boxed" gear aka. Federation/Kingdom gear. Mmmmmmsmexy. Gogoninjato37thenputinaboxforever!

I left my character in Crinan's party in Valkurm dunes before work, he wanted to try and camp Valkurm Emperor for me :\ I told him about eight times that he didn't have to but he was adamant. But I have like Treasure Hunter -10 on all jobs, its a Alsha-specific Trait. So I'll have to think of some way to pay him back for wasting 10 hours on my nonexistent Empress pin. Unless... I have an empress pin in my inventory when I get home. Then i'll be his slave for a week. What's that? You want a teleport? Yes of course! It's only 4.36am and I have to work in a few hours, but anything you want is fine. *shines her empress pin*

It dropped!!! It's my unicorn, you know, that mythical dream you chase, but never really believe it exists? Yeah baby. Now we're cooking with gas.

I'm 4/5 on my White Mage Relic set. So I have my pants left that are in Jeuno, I don't think we will be going for a few weeks though, the next two are ice zones.

But omg!! It dropped!! And I was afk at the time >.> I told them the phone rang, but in all seriousness I had dozed off. I woke up and looked up at everyone yelling at me, and them going everyone pass so she gets it. And I'm like wth? omgitdroppedomgomgomg!! *falls over and mashes the keyboard trying to lot on it*

I've been waiting alllllllll year for that one. It's pretty hot. I'm never taking it off. Even when I'm on ninja. (Which by the way, is 25 >.>)

But my Noble's Tunic is the best thing for me to use while curing, but that's pretty much the only extra thing I'm getting out of it. My Cleric's has refresh, regen potency and more MP and also -2 Enmity, so that will be my main piece. I'm macro'ing in the Nobles for cures. Until my friend wants it back that is... Which I'm assuming will be soon, now that I have my Cleric's. Time to save up for a shining cloth... Or just buy the Noble's that would be cheaper to be honest. They are sooo cheap now, only 1mil or so. Hm.... I really should get that Blessed Briault for barspells too... /sigh Too much to do, too little money.

Omens: Blue Mage AF Boots

Hello again everyone!
I decided to make a new post just dedicated to the Omen's mission that I recently helped Heavensknight complete. Just cuz I can.

And because it was exciting ^.~

We were in Mount Zhalyom trying to find the ??? for the Cast Metal Plate that lets you through the Gates of Halvung. Needless to say, I'm not very good at dodging bombs. I ran all the way to the staging point and died right in front of the gate. Go go gadget reraise!

We ended up back at the Gate, and another person was going through the door, so after raising Heavensknight (yes, he died at the Halvung gate too; ;) we snuck through. And kept our buffs up the whole time. We were good little children.

Mount Z is such a scary zone behind those gates!!! Who in their right mind would go there?? /sea Mount Zhalyom...... *search returns 10x 75BLMs. lol...

I mean, check out the scary dragons!! Look!!! *points*

And then the inevitable happened...

I've been a bit slack, forgetting to take screenshots of things and write down what I've been up to lately.

First item!

We went with the guys that I go to sky runs with, we wiped the first time, they had some strategy about the BLMs nuking everything at once, it was kinda cool because all the Ark Angels dropped to 50% HP but then all the BLMs had the hate... And kinda died... A bit....

So we ended up wiping with only one down so we exited to try again.

Second time: Pwnt. We did it really fast too which was nice. In total, I'm 1/4 on this mission, and am glad its finally over.

Looking forward to being able to equip my earring when i get my BLM high enough. It's still 64 :\ I'm so slow.

So we're back in King Ramperre's Tomb, meriting again...

And no one has died! Yet...

It seems to be going pretty well so far, lots of chains, etc. Maxed out my exp on WHM and have 3k worth of limit points to go toward my next merit.

In this second one you can see Omnus and Enishi behind us, they were here farming the Bizzaga III scroll but I didn't realise they were here too so we sort of shared the camp for a bit, letting them fight the Skeleton sorcerers and we took the ghost and the warriors. It worked mostly ok, but I felt bad that we had crashed their camp. We sort of made an arrangement that if we got a scroll they could have it so they didnt have to camp it any more.

Earlier today I went up to Xarcabard to help Beanrod find the Teleport Vahzl crystal when we ran into Biast!! I was thinking to try and claim it, but I was on whm, naked, and only had Beanrod with me who is a lvl 50 war i believe. So I didnt claim it, not knowing that about 6 ppl from TRS were already on the way up to try and claim. My bad sorry everyone. Ackz LS got it instead and the Ninja duo'd it with the WHM quite well. I actually cured him at the start or he may have died.... I wonder what would have happened if I had not cured him... Hmm...

Anyway sorry for lack of pictures I forgot to prime my camera.

Well tonight is Dynamis - San d'Oria...

I already have my white mage hat from there, and there's no black mage gear, I may go after the 100 piece or the bard gear. Haven't decided yet. It also depends on what the rules are today and what I'm allowed to choose :\

I'm Back! Again?

Hey there everyone,

I've had a bit of a break from the blog, had a lot of stuff going in "In Real Life" (zomgwtf?) and also computer problems which have now been fixed~!

New laptop mmm..... /joy

Installing FFXI again wasnt fun though, i have Vista on the new machine, its not... yeah. Its kind of shiny, but thats about it. I dont find it user friendly after XP. I had to download the vista POL before i could install the game it was annoying to find it on the website.

Anyway, I'm back, but the bad thing is, that I lost all my data from my old laptop, it crashed a lot and couldnt load the OS and we had to reformat it. So I wont be able to update my old posts but thats ok, ill just start fresh from here.

At the moment im logged into the game levelling my BLM for once, its something i keep meaning to do but never actually do it. im lV 63 now :D

I made a party with some of TRS guys, Bluvion with warrior and Angelise with whm. Took about half an hour to find a tank Ninja, and he brought another BLM friend. Then I picked up a BST (everyone said lolBST but hes doing a kickass job)

Oh the joys of Aydeewa Subteranne.

I hope its a long party, {I want experience points.}

I need to buy my Black Cloak. It dropped from 50/60k to 30k so I think now is the right time to buy it. In case it goes up again.

Hm.. We went to Dynamis Xarcabard yesterday, and I got my WHM hands! Finally, lol.

I'm so uber.

Ive been levelling bard lately too, now 44 I think. I like it its a lot of fun, but I get grumpy when playing it lol. No one ever stands in teh right place. Its fun though, now that i have 75WHM, my next job is BLM to 75 (now 63) and then Bard to 75 (now 44). I'm not going to level anything else til then lol or ill never do it.

As for IRL, just been working a lot, my job sucks atm, i didnt get this promotion i applied for :( oh well. im sure theres a reason for it. As they say, when one door shuts, theres another open window somewhere close.

And im sick atm also, came down wiht the flu after staying up all day and night til 6am in sky :(

I hate that place so much. No drops last nite, although I got told off for not lotting on Seiryu's Kote, apparently I had lotting rights but I didnt know. Maybe next time. I cant even use it yet lol. One day ill get my Warrior to 75.

So I've been on holidays this week.

Being lazy.

Hence no updates. But I'm sure I've been realllly busy.

Highlights include that morning I slept in until 9.30am, and when I went out and had sushi for lunch.

It's been great.

Been playing a bit of FFXI nothing too monumental has happened but lots of little things that are too much to list.

The big thing this week is that The Rising Sun has its own shiny smexy new forums. You have to be in the Linkshell to get on it though, so tough love if you're not. But lots of work has been done on it by myself and Rikoro so the LS persons reading this better go sign up or else they are on a permanent cookie ban. >.>

Oh and I was looking at the adding in screen shots thing, It's going to take me a while to work it out, it seems to just want to dump the pictures at the top of the post and not insert them where I want them >.> Death to blogger. I may have to copy and paste the post bit by bit when i edit it so i can put the photos in "as i go".

I'll know what to do now I guess. Just been busy with the LS I haven't had time to work on it.

Oh and I have been going on. It's my holidays after all. Sleeping has been a prominent activity too. Got loads done on that.

Tonight we fought Titan Prime, Draako PLD, Shaunmc MNK, Divinefury WHM, Trage RDM and Noodle DRG. Pwnt.

And we did Noodle's SMN AF fight as well. Pwnt.

Then we went to Garliage Citadel to help Trage find his shiny coffer.

We had some adventures on the way.

You should have seen it when he was running up the stairs, so funny. I'm sorry Kaske but we had to laugh... Good job sweetie!^^

In Dynamis at the moment, running Beaudecine on a Tuesday, how odd. Nyoko's WAR af2 just dropped yay. And if my WHM body ever drops that will be mine next.

I'm tired tonight, wish I could go sleep but should really stay in Dynamis you never know what will drop.

err... Last Night? The night before last?

Only did a few things last night (no, wait, its tomorrow so it was the night before the last one), as I had to work overtime for three hours /cry.

again. That's three in a row. /die.

Anyway. FFXI.

Got home and geared up on BLM and went trekking through the Eldieme Necropolis. I had three hours until I had to gather for Salvage, so I was determined to get it no matter if I had to sit there for three hours. So I went down there and checked all the surface ones that didn't need to be accessed by opening any doors. No cigar. ; ;

Bluvion was nice enough to be my door man and switch the lever for me to get through the doors to the other spawn points. No cigar ; ;

Even dropped down underground and checked there. No cigar ; ;

We outpost warped to Beaudecine glacier (well I did, Blue went to Xarcabard somehow instead and had no map so I had to run over and pick him up) and walked all the way to Batallia downs from there, dropped down the cave, and...

NO CIGAR!! ; ;

/sigh

Then Sidsith in the LS goes "what coffer are you looking for?" (cue growly noises as i had just been talking to the LS about how ive been hunting this coffer for months and every effing time I come down here its not here.) Apparently he has just seen it and is sitting on top of it as we speak.

At the first place I looked.

Cue escape and frantic running to the other side of Batallia Downs and slip sliding down into Eldieme Necropolis on my slow lanky Elvaan legs, barrelrolling into the room with the coffer. (with Sneak up, of course.)

After that, I had about an hour til Salvage was due to start, so Blue and I helped Sid and Chanel farm her LB1 papyrus (for her other Character Ecstazie) She had this crazy plan to log Nel when it dropped and relog to Ecs and join party and lot on the item. Well, after an hour, it dropped, so she quickly logged (she had to go pick up her daughter so had to be superfast) and we waited for her to relog with baited breath. I guess something came up, cause she disappeared. After that I ran off to do Salvage, did 2 Ilrusi assaults with Hidezou and Farris, then zipped off. Went to Silver Sea Remnants and Urora got LV15 feet for THF, but they all wiped near the start, so with me being the only person alive, with no magic yet, I got to be the suicide decoy to drag the mobs off their dead bodies so they could reraise. Let's just say that I don't run very fast or take much damage before I implode. I didnt get very far.

But we all managed to get back up and going, but ran out of time to fight the boss. So rather than waste items and exp, we mucked around a bit talking about, well, i dont know. I dont understand japanese. I was dozing off, so when we got back to Alzadael Undersea Ruins, Ingram asked me to go to Assaults, but I was too tired, had to work 9am yesterday, so went to sleep in the ruins (also known as falling asleep on the couch. again.)

Last night, I logged in and took a bunch of my LS to get runic portals they were missing, it was me, Blue, Cerebralpaulz, Noodle, Zihark, Braidertom. We went to Mamool Ja Savagelands, Nyzul Isle, Ilrusi Atol and Periqia. Fun stuff. I was exhausted by the end of the run, I must have needed the sleep cause I fell asleep right after we got back, was going to exp on blm with Blue, but it didnt happen. Sorry honey!

And now I'm at work, in the last half an hour before my ONE WEEK HOLIDAY!!!!1111eleventyone111oneoneone

I plan to sleep, play ffxi. Sleep, um.... go to the gym ? clean the house?

Sorry for lack of updates lately, you know the story.

Good: It's my birthday soon. (well, August is sort of soon)

Bad: Work is so busy I get home and I'm exhausted, not been doing much on FFXI lately

Good: Applied for a new job on Friday (9-5ish, pay rise, off the phones, yay)

Bad: Fell asleep right before Sky on Saturday night

Good: Woke up in time to help fight Byakko (got rot on his Axe? What the...)

Bad: Got grumbled at as lately I have missed a few end game events due to work

Good: Got my LS together to go hunt Sabotender Ballerina (you know the one) for Sonnia's Dune Boots

Bad: We were there for oh I dont know, four hours or so and no pop. (oh and I fell asleep)

Good: LS exp parties. Pulled out RDM yesterday and had a lot of fun.

Bad: Sleepy, so dozed off in the end, woke up in time to get a replacement

Good: Bluv's back faster than we though (yay for not having to quit after all <3>

Bad: I dont feel well today

Good: Home time in eight mintues.

Bad: Saturday I had to work a double as a colleague decided a party would be more fun then letting me have my afternoon off.

Good: it wasnt as busy as I thought it would be

Bad: Logged in to see Farris win WHM AF2 Body in Beaudecine Glacier (been waiting SIX MONTHS for that f*cker to drop) but you know, SE hates us.

Good: I could save a lot of money if I quit FFXI

Bad: Then I would have to quit..

Extended Blog Vacation Catch Up

I've been off work sick for almost a week, and haven't really been in the mood to write anything, so I guess I have a lot to catch up, but it probably won't be too detailed, Four to five days worth of being home sick = lots of FFXI play time = too much to write before my hands fall off.

Since my last entry, we went to Dynamis on Saturday, nothing too exciting dropped though (Still no WHM AF2 body!! I swear, its a myth *shakes fist at SE*) This was on Saturday afternoon after my last entry~ It's now Wednesday, so forgive me for not remembering finer details.

We did (yet) another Dune Boots NM run, and it took three hours for the little bastard to spawn, our longest camp session yet, poor Bluvion he gets the short end of the stick every time ; ;

But!!! We kirred it good. We had a few people switch in and out as we were there a while, but we ended up with enough to kill it so Congratulations Bluv! We are going for Sonnia's boots on Sunday, so hopefully it doesn't take that long. Can you tell I hate camping NMs?? haha.

The things I do for my LS lol.

Hmm... what else did we do ? I levelled Paladin with Bluv's white mage for a bit, got to LV20 and he LV19, might be going to level that a bit tonight if no one needs anything.

Umm.... Oh yeah! We did a bunch of Promyvion runs (I think I'm the only person that actually likes them). I took the LS through Promyvion Mea two times and did Promyvion Dem once. We did Mea twice because a couple of them missed the first run, so we did Mea one night, then did Mea and Dem the next night. We kirred it good. We did the ENM too, we raped Mea, no supercool item though, but a tasty 3000exp was nice. We lost the Dem ENM @1%HP we were a bit sad, but it wasn't really important, we tend to use them as practise runs for the mission, especially for those that have not done it before. It's a nice warm up, and if we win, bonus exp and possible prize. I did it once and got a Timorous Vision, which I think ended up as a Wind Earring =900k, which was nice. Congratulations Shaunmc and Ruska {Lufaise Meadows} {All right!} Planning the last Promyvion Holla for Thursday evening (my time) so hopefully we do as well as we did last time.

Hmm what else did we do ? Forgive me, I've been ill, the days blur together a bit when you fall asleep in the middle of the day, you tend to lose track of what day it is and what you've done.

Oh that's right~ non LS stuff I did on Saturday night, I went to Sky with Ingram's LS, we fought Byakko the tiger and Genbu the turtle. Byakko dropped Aquarian abjuration for the Zenith crown, which I already have (Urora got it woo!) and Genbu dropped his shield. I want it, but I wanted the hands Abj. more, so I chose the hands. /cry. Oh well, next time.

Oooh and the LS did Garrison on Sunday night too, it was so much fun. We did four runs in. West Ronfaure LV20 cap and got 2 Tunics, 3 Hands, 2 Boots and 2 Helms. We did it firstly as a test run, we decided to see if it was at all profitable and try to sell the Garrison gear and split the earnings. So far about half of it has sold, but because we have 10-15 people each run, it only works out to be about 15-25k each per run. Although that's not at all bad for a free to enter event (just have to farm the key item~drops very easily) which is a ton of fun to do anyway, even if theres no reward.

(zomg I nearly died just now, my stupidly long acrylic nails stumbled over the keyboard and hit the back button the browser, after going forward my entire post disappeared~~ *heart stops for a moment until I realise blogger autosaves drafts*) Phew.

So I have til next Sunday to try and move the rest of the gear, it doesn't sell as fast as I would hope, and I'm worried I will flood the market and it will be worthless... We'll see. If pooling it doesn't work, I can set up a lot system where everyone can lot on the gear and obtain a piece each if wanted. Still have to work out what we will do. So far we decided to let Mannequin parts free lot to those that are doing the quest. Thanks to Braidertom for helping me with working out the best way to do it, and thank you to Ataka for suggesting we try it! Lots of fun to be had.

Before Dynamis last night, Draako mentioned she was going to take Mjgone to do 3-3 Promathia mission (you know, the one where you have to fight the thing, and run up the mountain?). I have fought the NM but didn't have time to run the jewel up the mountain so I was going to do it later. If I had known better, I would have just set my hard drive on fire and saved myself the stress. I hate SE so much after that. So much. I just wanted to jump off the mountain to my bloody death below. We didn't have a map of Attowa Chasm, but we found the NM easy enough, we kirred it in about 30seconds, then had to grab the jewel and run up the mountain to the top in under 1hour.

An hour seems like a long time, right?

Wrong.

It took so long to find the part where we can actually get on the path up the mountain, we wasted a lot of time. The map is useless anyway, as there's smoke barriers all over the place. So. We get on the path. It's really tricky, you have to climb up and fall down certain places to get over obstacles and get to the top, but if you fall to the ground you have to start over again. So we got about half way up, we were a bit lost, but trying to work it out, when ZOMG DISCONNECTED. So that meant I lost my jewel when i logged back in. Back to the start. Get the jewel. Kick the computer. Run back around the mountain to the path entrance. And we couldn't find the way up we wasted like 30mins before the beautiful Chanel came out to give us a hand. I love you Nel!! <3>

Went to Dynamis Jeuno last night after slitting my virtual writs over the 3-3 mission and swearing at Promathia, Shaunmc came along even though he had to work so early, but Congrats! Dynamis Beaudecine here you come~ We had RNGx2 SAM NIN MNK and a 100 drop on the run, Mj missed out on MNK gloves as Yoyosendak was in front of him in the queue, but I believe he is up for it next. Fingers crossed that we actually go back to Jeuno at some point soon. I still need my stupid clown pants!! 6months Ive been waiting for them to drop... (haha yeah very funny, I know what youre thinking when I say that) But seriously SE, you suck.

After Dynamis last night we went to Einherjar, we were better prepared this time and came so close, the NM was @5-10%HP and we ran out of time. The thing that was annoying was they pulled before everyone got inside, so Mjgone and Darkscythe got locked out (MNK and RNG fyi) so we missed out on their DD skills. I still reckon we would have won if they had gotten inside. Its hard though, we all have to rush in or we waste time to fight it. Its only 30min after all.

I'm sure we will win next time, we had more people too, i think about 30 went in this time as opposed to last time we had 22.

Anyway, shortly therafter I fell asleep and decided I was feeling better so I went to work. Turns out I still feel like crap but hey, got to pay my rent some how. :\

Of Artifacts and Black Mages

Hola!

We got a bit done last night, headed out to do Noodle's DRG Artifact helm NM in The Temple of Uggalepih (/cry) and totally raped it. We had like 8 people though so it's understandable. Congrats Noodle on your smexy new helm :P

Next was Ruska's SMN AF weapon fight I think, at the Cloister of Tremors. I have only been there once before, and got the party lost as Draako and Braidertom (the two that know the way) had to log for work and bed. So we got lost and ended up back in the Altepa Desert. So Enishi logged on and I conned him into coming to give directions. There was a mix up when we got there though, Enishi and Macixc entered the Titan Prime fight instead, so had to wait for them to finish that, I think they were doing well, until they died... Rested up and buffed up and went in and kirred the AF NM then the guys + Ruska went in and kirred Titan. I dont have my fork still so I sat outside with Mjgone and Noodle.

Then Eni and I went to duo BLM, our normal spot in Aydeewa Subteranne was taken so we went to Bibiki Bay to rape the BST Goblin's pet rabbit. It was a lot of fun, I got my LV60 and I was getting really tired and dozed off a few times but Eni managed well on his own. I was just saying I should get to bed when I'm pretty sure i fell asleep on the couch in front of my laptop, cause I woke up this morning and I was still there, not in the party, but still there. And then I saw Eni pull the rabbit :O He was still there!! He told me he had to log out cause of aggro but that he let me leech his exp for a while : I was 7k into lv lol. He had a nap and started soloing again, he got 61. He disconnected a few times and Bluvion logged on!!

Dune Boots Madness!! go go go !!

So I warped and gathered a group to go get his boots. We got there and it was up!! We snuck into the next room and pulled him and engaged. We had Me/Ataka/WHM, Macixc/Braidertom/Rikoro/Osodabear/RDM, Bluvion/MNK, Xaq/PLD, Annes/NIN.

I thought it would be enough to kill it. Slowly, maybe, but still win. I had to go to work so I left my char there for needles buffer, and I got a text a while later to say they lost from a MPK ; ;

And then a text to say they got it down to 1% and wiped ; ;

/em fails at life.

I'm sorry Bluv; ; Ill help you get it this weekend, when I get home I have Dynamis-Beaudecine, and then Einherjar, and then I'm free til about midnight. We'll do it!!! Poor unlucky Bluv.. This was his first time doing the fight with TRS, but has had problems with it before I think he's 0/4 on it ; ; And it's a 100% drop!!!

I feel so useless.

Dune Boot Extravaganza!!! (and undeadly death)

Okay, it wasn't that fantabulous but I was pretty rapped. This week TRS got both Mjgone and Shaunmc their Dune Boots, we're planning two more runs for Bluvion and Sonnia (who strangely, doesn't have them yet..). We also tried camping Diamond Darg or what ever that beetle's name is, but no cigar for Braidertom. While in the beautiful Quicksand caves we tried helping Ataka with the Shaman's cloak NM Centurio X-I. He can be duo'd so we went to merit when Hoshimoto (newly joined the LS that night) offered to help her camp it. I do believe they were unsuccessful due to the ten other people camping it also :(

I merited in KRT in my first real bones party last night.

I'm never going down there ever again.

Everyone talks about how zomgawesomeexp!!1111oneoneone it is for monks, and thats fair enough, I'm sure the monk's had it really easy and had a blast.

This poor white mage needs a bit of therapy though :(

The party was me: WHM Shokora: BRD Mjgone: MNK Shaunmc: MNK and two pick up monks.
Shaun got stuck in Windurst during the Whitegate maintenance so had to wait for that to finish so he could warp and pick up a tele. When he finally got there the Japanese MNK {Have stuff to do, gotta go!} -.- So I invited another Galka MNK. WHAT. A. BAD. IDEA. /slaps herself.

He was such an ass! Okay, so heres the picture for you:

Shoky is pulling with elegy, hitting it with finale on the way to camp, singing two attack up songs for the 4 monks and then if they havent killed it yet she runs back to give me ballad. Which isnt often as usually its dead and she has to pull again.

The four monks are Boosting, and punching. Thats it. Thats all they have to do. Easy, no?

So I'm the lucky white mage. Shokora cant always get finale off in time before the powerhungry monks leap on the mob for the kill, so naturally Ice Spikes paralyzes everyone. I interrupt my haste cycle of four people (have omitted myself as i cant afford that MP) to paralyna. The new monk decides im a moron and /party {insert current status effect} Every single goddamn time. Wait your fucking turn!! I have enough to do, hasting you all, paralyna'ing you all, and then dont forget AOE Curse and Slow. So that's Haste, Paralyna, Cursna, and Erase, that needs to be cast on all four monks and JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A KIRIN'S OSODE does NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT make you more important that everyone else. I dont give a crap what gear your wearing. Shut up and punch.

Don't get me wrong, after the first five times he felt like letting me know about his current negative status effects, i responded with "I know." "yes, I know." "I know!!" "Please stop reminding me, I'm not a moron, I bloody know your paralyzed, so are the other three" and finally i snapped "GODDAMN WAIT YOUR TURN!!"

I swear to god he has tainted my fond experiences hunting bats in KRT.

Summing up, after a while of me throwing things around my apartment Shaun D/C so Sonnia switched in and Shoky switched out for another bard. He wanted to roam, and I said its not a good idea as im having trouble with my Mp as it is, would be worse roaming.

I'm promptly ignored as the stupid monk agrees it's an excellent idea. They run out, and punch a skeleton, and one falls below yellow as I am still standing up. He aggro's the room. Everyone dies.

I home point and come back to raise. I get to camp and my sneak wears off with no where safe to run, I die again and everyone decides its just easier to home point and call it a night.

Mmmmm Long weekendy-goodness..

I tried Einherjar on Saturday, it was.... Interesting.

We did the Ghoul one, it was crazy. Ingram didn' t tell anyone to bring poison potions, so we all got slept in the first few seconds. It's pretty tricky, we only went with 20 people though. We ran out of time in the end but we only had about four of them left to kirr, so I think for a first run, we did pretty well. And I didnt die!!

BCNM Madness:
I did Operation Desert Swarm twice this weekend, first time with Sonnia (War) Enishi (Nin) Shokora (Brd) Thorsvald (Pld) Eldoras (Rdm) and me as (Whm). My first time doing this one, I was so scared..... We used five orbs as Shoko doesn't have any KS but we needed her Lullaby talents so she came along to help.
But we farkin pwnt it. And got a Damascene Cloth, a Venemous Claw, four Orichalcum Ingots, and a Serket Ring!! About 2mil worth of drops there, Eni and I sold everything but the Serket Ring, with out that, it came to 1.3mil... But some bastard is undercutting me on the ring, it was 900k, then 850k, then 800k, then 760k, then 720k, then 719k.... It makes me die a little inside after each price cut. I'm going to have to give it away soon. Hell, soon I'll be able to buy it :\ Hope it sells soon, need to pay the LS^^

Second run I did with me as (Whm), Shokora as (Brd), Macixc as (Rdm), Demented as (Pld), Tidbit as (Mnk) and Mjgone as (Mnk), we did really well too, but drops werent as good. Off five orbs we got a Damascene cloth and an Orichalcum ingot, as well as a bunch of synth material. Sold it all within an hour and got about 600k for it.

Ive decided BCNMs are tasty.

Im planning on organising a ISNM run soon, I did one before with CielBleu and was really successful, own drops though, I lucked out and got one good drop, I cant remember what it was now, but the others got some nice ones. The fight was difficult, even with Ingram going as PLD, but I'm hoping we can do well enough to defeat it. I did the one called "Compliments to the Chef", its basically a big catfish that spams Virus/Paralyze/Bind(or something that needs Erase) its annoying and I was spamming macros from start to finish. I think we need WHM RDM a good tank, maybe a BLM and 2 DD's. We pretty much don't have many regulars that are BLM's in our LS, we have a couple but they aren't on often enough to count on them to join, unless they happen to be logged in. That's why Eni and I are duo'ing our BLM's, so we can do things like Under Observation and such like.

There are 2 other ISNMs that are uncapped, all look tricky, but with a bit of thought, planning and practise I think we might pull it off.

Hmm what else did we do... We merited a bit in King Ranperre's tomb, we had me WHM, Sonnia MNK, Mjgone MNK, Chanel WAR, Draako PLD, and Bluvion MNK. It was realllllllllllllllly difficult with out another mage, as I was on healing duty, haste duty, and Banish duty. Draako needed MP to cure for hate, so I had to banish, throw the odd haste, but mostly cure the monks that kept getting paralzed :\ I wouldn't reccomend this camp without a refresher. Chanel switched out for Macixc RDM it went a bit more smoothly after that. After an hour or so there I had to go do Assault, I just got T3 Superior Private or what ever its called, so did a Tier 3 Periqia assault. The one that you have to find the prisoner. Yeah, was easy. Ingram PLD Alexier RDM (from CielBleu, not TheRisingSun) and me as WHM. We just ran around, following Ingram and he beat down a few chigoes, we found a few prisoners, and had to run past a zombie to get to the chest and ported out as it started beating on Ingram. Fun times.

Then I levelled PLD a bit, @400 to LV14 its quite fun. Not so fun when the nooby warrriors AND MONKS!!!!!!!!!!!!wtf provoke the mob off me. I think I'm doing pretty well so far. Only one party wipe thats cause the puller pulled an IT++crab that was quite obviously out to get us. I hit my RR scroll just before I died so it looked very funny when I was crouching near a pile of dead bodies. I laughed a little. The white mage "disconnected" and the others got raised but I was very tired and needed to sleep for my monster 12 hour shift today.

We have Dynamis-Jeuno tonight.... I'm hoping my AF2 WHM pants drop. I probably won't use my AF2 much, but I still really want it lol. Hey, it's free^^ Not like salvage gear.... *glares at SE*

Well at least I'm starting to save up for it now, going to try think up some more crazy money making schemes as I only have about 40KS left and about 70BS. Planning to do Amphibian Assault BCNM60 I have done that before, it drops some shiny torques and ores. I got crap all last time, but I notoriously have bad luck when I lot on things and trade orbs. Come on, I lotted 26 for the Damascene cloth last night. It was ok cause I was the quartermaster and treasurer. But still!!

Oh and Shokora wants to do Hostile Herbivores BCNM50 soon so I'm going to help her out. I wont have any seals but I dont mind helping her, she helped out with ODS. She wants the Minstrel's ring badly. We'll need a WHM, 2x RDM, 2xNIN and a DRK maybe. Lots to think about and do.

Anyway, that's it for now, I should go back and do some work........ I am at work, after all.

I'm looking forward to the new changes...
The ones I'm most excited about are :

Mog Locker capacity can now be increased to a maximum of 80 slots (whee more inventory space {All right!})

The three Salaheem's Sentinels members stationed in Windurst, San d'Oria, and Bastok now offer teleport services to Whitegate for registered mercenaries who have completed the quests they each offer. (now I won't cry every time I accidently set my HP anywhere that's not Whitegate)

The price for the key item needed to enter Limbus (Cosmo-Cleanse) has been changed to 30000 gil. (my incentive now for actually getting off my ass to do Promathia missions)

1500 Assault Points are now required to obtain a remnants permit. (Oh thank god!!! That's all I have to say about this one)

It is now easier to obtain imbued items when defeating monsters within the remnants (most certainly a good thing)

The maximum limit for point allocation in the "Combat Skills" and "Magic Skills" merit point categories will be increased for all jobs (oooh more merits)

It sounds interesting and EXPENSIVE!!! $180,000 per key item to enter?? thank god you only need one. But with 36 people its only $5k each. I'm not likely to go in with that many, maybe 18, so that's really "only" $10k each, but with 12, thats $15k each and with six.... its $30k. Might as well go to limbus really.

Some of the armor looks okay, but not a lot that I can use, til my BLM gets levelled up.

Speaking of which, LV58 now!! And I have a Moldavite earring now!! I can't remember if I said that yet so tough. Thanks to Fraguar, new LS member who helped me out, much appreciated. Lots of cookies coming your way !

Went to Dynamis Bastok last night... I think it's best if we just don't talk about it.

On the plus side, BST MNK DRG and 100x1 dropped. I really don't feel like going into the other details. If you were there, you already know, and if you weren't, its not worth going over again. And if you left early, then shame on you...

I got my Zenith Crown last night!!!!!!!!!!

A certain friend whom I was about to trade the materials to for the synth, traded me the crown instead as a gift and wouldnt let me pay for it :\

Having friends is nice. Now I have to think of something to get him...

But what do you get someone who has everything?

Anyways, short update tonight, going to plan an ENM run soon for Bionic Bug in the Mine Shaft, I think thats it anyway. A cape of some sort that Shaun wants drops from it so thought we would go try it. Any one who is interested from the LS drop me a tell, we need to go farm key items to enter. I also want to try for a Penitent's rope BC NM soon I almost have the 60 seals. Eni said he would help me on Ninja but a third person wouldnt go astray. If you want to come or need the rope or other drops let me know also.

My Crazy Weekend

Hello again everyone! What a busy week! I'll have to be short with it as so much happened..

So I was off work on Friday and Saturday, so I got a bit of play time in. The last thing I posted was Wednesday night's Salvage, after that.. on Thursday, I went out to dinner afterwork, so I didn't get home until really late. I saw Spiderman 3 it was pretty okay. Got home at about 12.30am and logged on for a bit but I was pretty tired so I didn't play for long, I don't even remember what I did to be honest.

Friday... Friday.... Hmm..... I think I just mucked around and levelled Black Mage for a bit and random LS stuff that day.. Nothing too amazing, and like I said, it was a few days ago now... Maybe I should start taking notes... Anyway, went out to dinner for my girlfriend's birthday on Friday night with our friends, I had the nicest steak I've ever eaten, it was bliss.

SALVAGE !! fun.

After that I headed home and logged into FFXI for Friday night Salvage. We did a double run tonight, we tore through Zhaylom Remnants and Arrapago Remnants. In the first run we killed the NM and 2x LV35 gears dropped, and one was my Enlil's Crackows (feet)!!!! The other White Mage Alexier lotted straight away.. for 880 !! I couldn't believe it. I never lot that high. Ever. For anything I ever need. /fails at life. So I stared at it for a whole minute (a minute is a long time when you're in shock) with the group telling me to lot on it. So.... I lot.

Saturday I had the morning off work so I slept in and did some stuff around the house, as you do in the real world.

Then I logged in and merited on Whm with some friends, Hax and Enishi as Ninjas and my memory's a bit fuzzy after that, but I'm sure we had more than three people in that party. It was nice exp, we went to Nyzul Isle and fought Mamool Ja in Bhalfau Thickets.

But! the Mnk body piece dropped (semi funny, semi sad story here : Mjgone from my LS was going to come, but promised he would help his friend do something, forgetting about dynamis. So he did the honourable thing and skipped dynamis... and it drops. As free lot! Poor baby *hugs to MJ, you'll get it next time*) and also the Rdm body dropped at the start. Not bad really I suppose.

PROMYVION MEA ENM!!! so-so.

After Dynamis I organised a Promyvion Mea ENM run with my LS, it took a little longer to get sorted than I thought and I ended up being late to this work dinner I had to go to, but I didn't really want to go anyway. (I made it in the end though)

So it was me as Whm/Blm, Bluvion as Rng/Nin, Mjgone as War/Nin, Cerebralpaulz as War/Nin, Shaunmc as Mnk/War and Sidsith as Smn/Whm. Not a bad set up, if I do say so myself.

We had a few problems getting up there, Bluvion hadn't gone to a Promy as Rng before, so we got a bit mixed up with the widescan (I really don't know how it works Rng LV1 ftw) but he was getting readings from different floors in different directions. I have only done this ENM when Ingram has led it, and knows the way, or with Eldoras on the missions, who also knows the way. So Paul whipped out the atlas and grabbed the coordinates and off we went. We wiped once when someone accidently aggro'd a big tall leggy creature I can't remember the name of. Crawler, or something. I hit RR and we went down, and I got up and raised everyone. That was on the third floor. Other than that, it went really smoothly.

At the Spire, we rested and got ready to enter, with me reiterating that it wasnt Ancient Flames Beckon, but "the other one". We all get into the arena, when MJ says "what other one?" Turns out that he had logged to mule when I was telling everyone "DONT FORGET THE CENSER ITEM" and explained what it was and where to get it. I mentioned afterwards asking if everyone the item and RR, and MJ told me he didnt have the reraise item, but was no problem as I had an earring. Whoops to me for not double checking, sorry MJ :(

So we tried with 5, and within 15 seconds I went down so fast I dont even know now what happened there. Imagine my abject horror to realise that in all the fuss over MJ not getting into the arena, that I forgot to use my reraise earring. So i basically shouted for everyone to use their 2hours and go nuts on it. Shaun died but reraised in time to help finish it off. He went down fast. Phew.

I didn't get any exp cause I was dead, but the others scored their 3000 exp points. Except MJ, who was outside :( I had to home point as we had no Raise, and I was soooo late to dinner. Off I went, thanking everyone for coming. I think we will do awesomely next time, as we have more practice and get used to travelling there.

And using reraise.

Oh, and no good items dropped.

I went out until about midnight on friday night and came home shortly thereafter. I logged in to check a few things, and Ingram from my Salvage/Dynamis LS asked me if I would come help him in sky as my Whm.....

Now.

SKY!! zomgiwanttodie.

For those of you that know me, I hate sky. I went there once to poke around and died more times than I care to reminisce about. I vowed never to return. But I have trouble saying no to my friends...

We head up there and I have no map, so imagine me being grumpy and perpetually lost. At 1am. And a little drunk from dinner at the National Wine Centre. Just take this image of me and insert me into the place I hate the most out of the whole game. Fun times.

I'm so glad that Enishi came with us, I would have been lost and in tears with out him. The whole LS that came to sky, about 16 people total, were all Japanese except for about two people. One of those was me. Who got lost twice and had to be rescued. Thank you Eldo! Oh, and I died three or four times due to this bard casting sneak next to a mob, and dying. I happened to be standing near by and got killed too. I think I cast cure on her from a distance out of range of the mob, but the whole hate linking thing got me there. I don't mind dying, really. It's kind of fun, and part of the whole life/death game thing. But it's a bit annoying when it's not even my fault.

Oh well, nevermind.

We went up to fight the Despot for the item to pop, oh I dont know, one of the big boss things. Warrentang was camping it there ahead of us and outclaimed everyone there, as Pld/Nin. Yes, thats right. Pld/Nin. None of this Thf/War business, didn't you get the memo? That's so yesterday for camping things. So {All right!} to Warren, nice work. We got there and kirred it and headed over to pop Suzako. Suzuko? Suduko? You know the one, the big bird. Uneventful fight, no deaths or any exciting near misses. But the only good drop was the Aquarian Abjuration for the head piece... And I got it! Woo~! Zenith Crown, here I come!

Then we went to fight Byakko, the big tiger. It was kinda fun, spamming Paralyna and Erase. Every three seconds. He went down pretty fast, and guess what he dropped? Aquarian Abjuration for the legs...

And guess who got it? That's right! Powerwhitemage here I come! Being Elvaan is depressing, I have no MP at all. This is going to help though. In a big way.

BORING STUFF ABOUT HOW POOR I AM!!! /fail

Cursed Crown : 140-150k Auction House price
Synthesis Materials : Copper Ingot, Gold Ingot, Siren's Hair and Fire Crystal.
I have all these now, Ingram offered to craft it for me (yes, I know, it's cheaper to buy the crown, but dammit I want a HQ!lol) He has an 11% chance to HQ the synth, (as it is only a lv91 goldsmith recipe) so I had a long think about it (a whole 5 minutes) and decided to spend the extra cash on the materials in the hopes for a Cursed Crown -1 instead. It wasn't much more expensive, I picked up the Siren's hair for a good price (~159k, and it went for 163k, 200k, 161k after I bought one last night.) and the copper is 1k and the gold ingot, Enishi gave me three gold beastcoins (thank you! <3)>all. So shut your mouth, you Blm haters! :P

I made an exp party of my own in the evening, after exping with random people earlier, we did a LS party it was so fun. We pissed around for about half an hour before we started so we wasted lots of time but it was a long party so it was ok. It was me as Blm, Sidsith as Pld, Bluvion as War, Archangyl as Rdm, and two people I invited that I had exp'd on earlier in the day: Fraguar as Thf, and Mirohan as Rdm also. It was a lot of fun, we hit up Lesser Colibri in the Wajaom Woodlands. I invited both of the newies to the LS and Fraguar hopped in for the rest of the night, but Mirohan has one of those silly end game LS's so he will only be visiting now and then.

After a long time I got very sleepy and disbanded and went to bed around 3.30am I could barely keep my eyes open.

This morning I logged on to check a few things and Fraguar dragged me down to camp my Moldavite Earring in the Labrynth of Onzozo. I guess he didnt think I was cool enough without it :P

Mysticmaker hadn't spawned by the time I had to go to work, but he said to leave my character logged in and he would try get the drop for me, how nice! I was happy enough going to work today, but it's been flat out busy, I've barely had any time to sit around and do nothing all day. How rude! :D

I wonder if my character is still logged in and if he was able to get the earring... Man, I'd owe him so many favors if I get home and I have that earring. I feel like I'm cheating a bit, but hey, I put in plenty of time elsewhere, and im currently 0/3 on it. Something's gotta give.

A very Salvagey night

Herro!

I'm so tired today, I only slept for about four or five hours... I blame SE for this. It's completely not my fault.

I logged in tonight and the LS was really full 10+ in TRS tonight so it was quite busy (this is busy for my LS, but I like it when there's not a million people in it), everyone was in parties doing their own thing by the looks of it. I planned to go check up on my poor chocobo... It's been two weeks the poor things probably half dead by now :

So I taruwarped to Sand'Oria and went to my mog house to pick up my carrots, chatting to the LS at the same time, catching up on all the hugs, when I got a tell from an old friend that hasn't talked to me in a long time.. {Party} {Do you need it?} 5/6

Hm... I could sit through eight hours of chocobo updates... Or I could go merit on WHM...

*runs*

So we headed out to Mamool Ja Staging Point, the set up was WHM NIN RNG BLU RDM DRK all 75 but for the BLU (the guy I know, Maddi) who was about to level to 74. There were already three parties exping in the Thickets though, so we took the Mamook exit and had a look to see what was down there. We roamed through for a bit, and killed random Mamool Ja and Spinners, the experience points were alright, it was a bit slow, but it wasn't all bad. I made about 10k in probably ooh I dont know.. 2 hours? I didnt really keep track of the clock. I got my third merit point and half way to the next one. I got a bit restless after a bit, so I advised I would be going soon, so we headed back to the Bhalfau Thickets to meet my replacement. Near the exit I fell down a cliff bit and was a bit too lazy to walk around, so seeing as the party was near the exit, I just warped out.

Then my friend Ingram logged on, asking if I would go do some Assaults with him, so I headed over to Ilrusi Atoll Staging Point to do the Lamia 13 Tier 2 assault mission. We did this with four people, Me as WHM, Ingram as BLM, Farris as SMN and Hidezou as SMN. Farris and Hidezou are from Ingram's linkshell LeCielBleu. (I join them for Dynamis and Salvage a few times a week) We pwned the Lamia pretty quickly, its a shoe in if you have dispel and Fenrir. So I made about 3000 or so Assault points to spend on Salvage. (Honestly, I think Salvage fees are ridiculously high... 1000 would be more practical. But I guess they thought of it as "sacrificing Assault Points and missing out on Assault gear for the chance to participate in Salvage and acquire Salvage gear) but they forgot to mention that the drop rate is horrific. You thought Dynamis was bad... Just go to Salvage. I have a knife you can borrow, it works better if you run a hot bath first... >.>

So, Salvage.

I thought tonight was one of our better runs, we have been many times and had no drops, through no one's fault in particular, but simple organisation problems and just having low drops on the cells to unlock equipment and abilities, etc, which means the bosses are harder to fight when we are all still gimped. We got three Lv. 15 pieces of gear tonight, but nothing I wanted so I didn't lot.

But I love Salvage, its fun. Despite the drop rate. I mean, where else can I run around in my underwear without anyone giving me funny looks?

As usual, I spent some time sitting in the entrance filing my nails until my items dropped to unlock my magic and max MP. Naturally the two red mages got theirs first, as they tend to be more hmm whats the word... useful? Well, they have Refresh AND Cure, so it makes sense. Other than Max MP and Magic, and maybe INT or MND, I don't really lot on anything else. I don't need armor to cure people. But the body piece is handy for Refresh (Noble's Tunic {Yes please} luckily we had a couple drop so I got to wear my tunic. No pants though!!

We ploughed through the first few floors killing Merrows and such, and killed the first two Qiqurn bosses, the Treasure hunters. They didn't drop any gear, but we fought some Archaic Gears and got the Lv. 15 Ares pants to drop along with the Lv.15 Morrigan feet? or pants? I can't remember now. And toward the end we got another one of the Ares pants to drop also.

We made it to the last floor with about ten minutes or so to spare, and engaged the Armored Chariot (I think that's what it is called) We only had ten people with us including myself, and no bards, we did really well but just ran out of time it was at about 50-60% when the timer ran out. No one died fighting it, Ingram as PLD and Kingdon as MNK tanked it mostly but I think if we had a bard and another MNK we could have done it, or if we had more time, like 20mins or such. Oh well, it's all a learning curve hey.

One day I'll have something of the Marduk gear! It will take me eight years but I'll have it one day...

Don't remind me that it costs around 5-6million gil to acquire the Marduk Jubbah body piece. I'm well aware...

After Salvage I was about ready to fall asleep, I hung around to see if anything useful was being said, but it's tricky for me in Salvage, as almost everyone in LeCielBleu is or speaks Japanese. Ingram is bilingual thank god but the LS forget to tell me important things quite often... Like strategy. Although I mostly just have to follow him around and cure, it's still nice to know whats going on. It's okay though, I make do.

Ingram asked me if I had gotten Tier 3 in Assaults yet, and I have yet to still find that stupid Warhorse Footprint, so that's a no. He offered to help me find it and I said alright, but he took a while before he responded to me after "wait a few minutes" so I was dozing off at that point. I got disconnected, my laptop decided "Right Now" was the time to download Windows XP updates, thank you so much, I logged back in and promptly got d/c again. I gave up, sent Ingram a message to say sorry and fell asleep.

Thus ends my night in Vana'diel, was a lot of fun but hoping to spend some time with LS people next time, I'm hoping to do some missions or quests for them so hopefully some one wants to be my friend later tonight :P

I have tons of friends. Really.

Rawr!! I'm Back!!

All right!!

After my excruciating long "vacation" from the game, it feels good to be finally back!

("the game", being Final Fantasy XI Online. If you don't know what this is, just get out now. Get out to the shop, buy it, come back, and install it. Don't worry, the updates don't take that long to download....)

Anyway. My tale of adventure!! In The Real World!! Yes, it really exists!! I'm living proof!!!

I finally rescued my poor laptop from the clutches of the evil Acer overlords, and restored it to it's rightful place... In my room.

(Read: I dropped it several weeks ago and I had to take it in to be fixed... It took a week and a half for them to work out I had destroyed the internal fan AND the hard drive, good job guys!!! /end sarcasm)

SO! That mean's I'm back online, to annoy all of my lovely friends once again. You know you love me, don't you lie about it! ^.~

It was so nice to log back in to FFXI after a few weeks of being A.W.O.L. I got a very nice basket of messages ditched at my head upon my return. (Thanks guys, I love you too)

I was a bit worried the linkshell (The Rising Sun) would have fallen apart in my absence (because, you know, I'm the center of the world and it's likely to turn brown and die without me) but I'm so very glad to see a good handful of people on this morning, with reports of fun exciting times while I was gone. I'd like to mention a few things I've heard thus far : MJGone getting his Destroyers woo hoo! and ShaunMC getting his... Maat's butt? Oh, I mean he kicked it. Hard! All right! I wasn't on for long today so I haven't caught up on all the news, you'll just have to stay posted.

It took six hours to download those stupid updates... They replaced my whole hard drive with a new one, so I had to reinstall and download all the updates... /cry. It made me die a little inside. But I finally logged on... To find out that ALL my macros disappeared! (I somehow thought that my macros would have been stored in some magical crevasse of my laptop that wasn't affected by them throwing the old hard drive in the bin...)

Wiping away my tears I started the tedious process of redoing my white mage macros. I've realised I'm a bit of a gear swap whore.. Too many /equip macros in that lot.

Anyway, TRS wasn't doing too much this morning but I had a good catch up chat with everyone, and got a tell from Draako, my lovely Paladin friend, to join a merit party near Mamool Ja Staging Point. I wasn't really doing anything, (well, I was avoiding going to visit my poor starving Chocobo, poor, poor Filante Pereaux....) so I went along. She had set up the PT as PLD WHM RDM BRD WAR MNK mmm.... my favourite set up in my favourite camp, how could I say no ??

We kicked a lot of Mamool butt, I scored 2 and a half merit points during that party, which had a few player swaps (swapping in Enishi, the most awesome bardwhowouldratherbeaninjabutidontlikeninjassoshutupandsingballadforme!lol before everyone eventually had to go (including me, I had to go out before work this morning. And Why was I playing FFXI before work, do you ask? I woke up at 5am freezing cold and I couldnt sleep. WinterFTW. I love Australia and it's crazy weather. I wonder what I should spend my merit points on... I think I'm done with this tangent...)

I have so many plans for what I want to do with my character... I want to level up Black Mage, currently at 53, merit on White Mage for Imperial Standing, (and merits, of course..) go take my level 28 Clothcrafting test and level that up to 30, make some monies... The list goes on.

Speaking of lists, I made a bit of a wish list for gear and things I want to get for my various jobs in game, which is at home (I'm currently at work... not.. working... *hides from the boss*) so I will have to post that in my next update I write from home.
